Taimur is a Partner in the firm. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford. Taimur divides his time between UAE and Pakistan.

Until January 2023, he was a partner at Clyde & Co in UAE and prior to that he was a partner at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP's Oman and UAE offices. He has been working on legal assignments in the Middle East and Africa since September 2008 and has rights of audience before the high courts of Pakistan.

He regularly advises governments, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, listed companies and Fortune 500 companies on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. Taimur has also served as the regional head of the legal department for Middle East at Vale, one of the world's largest metals and mining group, with responsibility for legal matters relating to multi-billion dollar projects in Oman and Malaysia, holding companies for projects in Mozambique and exploration and business development activities across Middle East and Africa.

He has also been a Research Scholar (International Commercial Contracts) at UNIDROIT in Rome and a Visiting Fellow at South Centre in Geneva. During 2005-8, he was also the Executive Director of the Research Society of International Law, Pakistan's only international law think tank.

Taimur has been a Guest Speaker at universities, civil and military training institutes and think tanks in various countries including at King's College, London, Georgetown University in the U.S., Foreign Service Academy and the Navy War College in Pakistan, the American University in Dubai and the Bank Muscat L&D Centre in Oman.

Taimur's articles on legal issues appear regularly in leading publications in various jurisdictions and he has also contributed chapters to books on joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions in the Middle East. He is an alumnus of the Georgetown Leadership Seminar and has also attended The Hague Academy of International Law.

Taimur is recognized as a leading individual by The Legal 500 and ranked by Chambers and Partners.
